Lowering RX

Hi,

I am wanting to lower my RX Leone club car. I have been to Pedders and they said that there are no shocks or springs available to lower the car. It has got standard front shocks and rear shocks are KYB. The car has been converted to rear wheel drive and is being used on dirt, so the lower it is at the rear, the better.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can lower it?

Thanks,
Marcus

The clearance available as standard on our L sedans is bloody minimal as it is. If you cut a spring down to drop the ride height to experiment you would see. If you went lower with a custom spring its rate would need to be a lot stiffer to reduce bottoming out. These sedans have no bump stops like the wagons do. The only evidence of a bump stop in the rear is on the shock if it has not perished and crumbled out. I have tried two other springs in the rear from a wagon and a FWD sedan I think and got higher bum by 60 and 45mm . I have got used to the standard high bum of the 4WD sedan compared to FWD sedans
