Please help,

I have an Impreza RX 2.0 -97 and there is an strange "guide" in the top of
the front side windows. I have a problem with this then I am closing the door on the passanger side. The guide goes inside the window an stops the door from closing. It seems to be bent down a little and it is impossible to bend it up.
How is it attached to the body and whats it purpuse?

Help me

Hi Erik.. I believe this tab (guide) is there to make sure the window sits against the rubber when winding the window up. If it's catching while closing then there could be 2 problems.. firstly it's like you say and it's bent slightly, which you'll need to use a small hammer and some gentle persuasion.. secondly it can be the window glass is too high and needs to be adjusted from behind the door card.

Cheers,
Paul

Hacksaw/grinder/file it'll be attached under the sill which means removing the rubbers and sill..........easy to get off but the rubbers can be really hard to get back in place. they only put them on a couple of early models from memory.

Dear sirs,

Thank“s for your answers. Now I can sleep well again. I have to check the hight of the window.
