Mackay rubber - Radiator hoses

Hi Guys,

Has anyone replaced the radiator hoses in a '91 Brumby through Mackay rubber? Having a look through the online catalogue, and after talking to my local, it appears as though they do not offer a solution, but is that because the hoses from say a Leone or L series would fit and so they dont double-up on the listing? Any help?

Will call up Eblens to get a genuine price but I expect a local supplier would be a hell of a lot cheaper.

Got a new radiator in the mail, picking up new water pump this arvo, new belts today also. Whole new cooling system is gonna be nice.....

Cheers,

Anders

You forget that Brumby is a 91 with aftermarket dudes, otherwise most listings will send you on wild goose chase with L Series parts. Try ask for a top rad hose for 1984 Leone no power steering - that'll get you there

Geez its not easy sometimes. I called up Mackay and they were no help.

Thanks for the tip steptoe, its led me straight to hoses that, going by eye and a tape measure, look like they are about right. All they needed to do was add "Brumby" into the listing.

So I have never seen inside a Leone, under the bonnet are they essentially identical to a Brumby? This info will probably help me with ALL my aftermarket parts hunts.

Just bolted down to Motormate to pick up my water pump and order the hoses but they had them in stock (again! these guys are great), indeed the listing for the Leone 1800 '75-'84 had exactly the right hoses, part #s CH1321 and 1322 for top and bottom respectively.

Cheers guys, I hope y'all not getting sick of my noob questions, but I have found its not easy getting the right parts for this era of Subaru. It's like there was a lull of information around this time.

those numbers strike a memory byte :) , need to dumb things down for the catalogue makers. A Brumby rad core is about 40mm longer than MY sedan FWD
