Last coupla days, there's been a bit of thievery around my place.
Lost all my valve caps, the towball cover, all the valve caps of the wife's crumbledoor, the doorbell off the house(!), plus the handle off the front tap!
Bloody kids!

Time for some sensor lights and a big dog

Brush some permanent ink onto the valve caps next time... Somebody will end up with sticky fingers, stained a pretty colour for a while...

You know why the door bell button went don't you? When your door bell rings you will need to go flying out into the 'hood and belt the living daylights out of the beholder who will be nearby or have already ridden by on his pushy. Or to save being up on assault and battery of a minor throw the inside ringer away.
I had the same set of valve caps for 17 years and then one evening some prickle had to spoil the record

I am with the basebat and give chase.. lol! And watch crimes cause i can run... :P Although some, i am pretty sure council worker, (as they where working next door with a wet cement saw) decided they need my back tap fitting more then i did and took off with it. And throw my front hoses around as they have Copper fittings so therefore they are useless to them, done up nice and tight.

I pay them enough rates, i am sure they can afford the fitting!

PS Sorry to any council workers on here! But man i was pissed off with the hole pain in ass of it all.

They certainly are random items to be flogging! Is it just you or the whole street?

Thirded for the chase after with bat. We don't have thieves around our way, but taggers spraying every flat surface they can. We had our power and gas meter boxes tagged one night, and surprisingly I didn't hear it as I am a very light sleeper and the boxes are next to our bedroom window. Lucky for them though as they would have had a chubby screaming naked man chasing them down the street with a bat.

not a good idea, ended up in hospital for a few days cause daddy adn his drunken mates thought i was spoiling his kids fun

valve caps i go cheap ones with locktight, doorbell we glued all together and then glued back onto the door frame (instead of changing battereis every 5 years we threw it away and started again)
we removed all the brick edging from the fornt lawn cause they threw them in teh window, put roller shutters in with securtiy lights for when they started to graf them

AND FINALLY
he got hiself an air rifle, powered by 100 psi of compressed air out of a compressor throwing a fair size ball bearing.

It is bullshit to think the parents would defend their kids 'fun' when they are causing other people grief. Granted, Daveron Park is a long way from Sheidow Park, different mentalities.

It's the whole street, I live on a fairly busy road, but all the streets in back of mine are populated by housing department tenants, some of which, I'm sure, are very nice people. Shame about the drug-dealing, binge boozing, inbred yokels who make up the remainder.
I've got some lovely prussian blue, and the new caps have been coated with it.
Sensor lights go in friday.

What about the sensor air rifles? With web-cam streaming so we may watch.

I caught one of the little buggers one evening. I gave chase down the street after noticing the turds in the driveway. Got holes in my socks and sore feet but I got him. All I did was grabbed his arm and came to a halt when I realized he was pissing himself. Felt bit bad for the kid cause his mate saw the whole thing. Gave him a lecture and sent them off on their marry way. An hour later the kids knocked on my door to apologise with a parent.

Spike, I've heard of Davoren park, usually on the news about someone whose been stabbed Your story about giving chase and ending up in hospital, that's exactly why I wouldn't give chase or retaliate in these kinds of situations (ya might have noticed I'm a skinny bugger so I wouldn't have much chance anyway lol) but because people like that always come back with their mates and 1 up you But in the case of bored kids taking valve caps it's a bit different haha

Those were random things for them to nick Battlewagon, at least it's no huge loss right? Someone I know lost his brand new hydraulic jack out of the back of his ute, in broad daylight! The ute even had a vinyl cover over the tray, we came out at mid day, one corner of the cover was back, and his jack was gone!

I do have access to several radio-controlled, triple-barrelled 1/4" CO2 powered cannon.
But having a scale model battleship mounted on my roof might raise some eyebrows.

That just sounds absolutely fantastic.

It is fun, and the length of the Battlewagon's cargo area makes them easy to transport.
I currently have two battleships, one cruiser, one freighter, a tug and an I-400 sub.
They all fit in the back of the wagon. Betcha the boys at Subaru never thought of that when designing her.
I do have to carry the support gear and gazebo in a box trailer, though.
