Secret, special club of the Subaru owners.

Post by H-top » Wed Apr 13, 2011 5:46 pm

I was Driving home today from work on my
usual route past the XXXX factory when
I passed a G1S1 Turbo Libbo in the opposite
direction, FMIC, low, STi gold rims.

As we passed we exchanged a silent nod.

It happens alot with fellow Subaru enthusiasts.
We all silently know what the other feels in their heart!

Who else gets this?

Cheers

Not yet :(
I drove past two brumby's in two days this week in the M.Y and they couldn't care less

Just reminded me, has anyone seen that subaru ad where there's two impreza's parked, and a parking inspector is writing a ticket for one car for expired parking meter. A guy walks up, puts money in the meter for that car, then gets in the other car and drives away :-D
Will it ever end!?

I have had guys see the brumby whilst driving either L series or brumbys do the same, not as many in Imprezas or libertys but a few.

but I definitely know the feeling

I get this plenty too....not so much with the newer stuff but definitely the L's MY's and especially the brumbys. I get more looks and better reception in my rough looking brumby then in my nice daily haha

Get it and the ocassional look in the Brumby, the L Series 4GLTA - pretty much never. Even had a small convoy of RS Libs burble past her a few weeks back in one of their club runs I suppose, not evem a stop and glance at the old Grandpa of them all. Maybe if I left the bobtail spoiler on things may have been different.

Don't get a lot of waves from Subaru owners, but Brumby owners most definitely.

That might change once I make mine a bit faster and noisier. There's something about that old Subaru boxer sound that makes newer cars shiver.

All the brumby owners in Toowoomba are old farts who don't wave...

+1 here in Geraldton. The guys who seem to drive L-Series here are 30year old guys who have their right arm out the window. I tend to do the same in my foz.
There is one young guy in a 1st gen white Forester with 3" catback with mag wheels who i wave too. He waves to me when we see each other. lol
God does his car sound good. Sat behind him at the lights a few times.

I always wave to the WRX drivers. There seem to be 2 here who are young hot chicks. lol I have gotten a few waves from them but I always wave.

I always flash Subaru owners if I see a speed camera or the cops too

Taza

When i was growing up my parents had a yellow leyland minivan and a HZ prem(well still got both). We were forever getting waves and nodes from other motorists, i used to think everyone experienced this :P

now in my datsun on the very rare occasion i go past another datto, the wave is always there!
