And that ain't the only problem. I should have figured....It is SO weird driving along looking up to the right to look in rear view mirror , more so looking over to the usual external rear view mirror - need to look further. The one on my door just gives a view of the gutter. Buyer beware I suppose. Mark, I thought you were sending over an XT6 not an H6 ! It is here, or the Bommodore with yella plates in the background is an export product :) , export label on Sube screen

Another downside to importing LHD now in NSW is they need to display in at least 75mm high letters LEFT-HAND DRIVE

It has VDC badge on front guards, assembled in USA yet still has normal ID plate from Japan. Compliance sticker is on drivers door not inside door jam like here , so replace a door and you may need to transfer that sticker ? Also got wiper heater fields on the windscreen , do our market have those?

Indicator stalk is on the left with lights, the wiper is on the right - so Euro spec , what a PITA !

Guess that is the Woodie effect that happens on US assembly :)

You could tell McIntosh from that pic?

are you going to convert this fine piece of machinery to right hand drive or leave it as is?

I have seen a JDM H6 front cut with that "nice" wood grain finish advertised on Ebay but as Alex says it could be aftermarket.

I remember the Caution Left Hand Drive placards on cars in WA as a kid but the law must have been changed as I don't see it on LHD cars here anymore.

There's a 2004 - 2006 Outback XT (2.5 Turbo) imported from the US that lives a couple of blocks from me - no LHD sticker anywhere on it.
Looks weird when it's driving towards you with the driver on the wrong side of the car and a 10 y.o kid in the passenger seat.

Maybe not as weird as following a LHD Corsair of the late 60's - just the design of its rear end looks like a front end so it looks like it is coming straight at you in your lane.
The LHD sign is a NSW RTA requirement AUVIS Inspection Bulletin No.32 - possibly separating themselves from other states and territories in an effort to justify the costly state governing bodies - in being different

Alex has found a similar shot of those 'add ons' . Maybe just available in LHD trim. Always thought moulded plastic fake wood trims looked out of place in our cars, but seing as though this is US import - looks quite fitting :)

Nah, just stirring :-) turned up in my mates workshop for an introduction to Oz roads for a few years. Major condition of its import permitted is that it must also leave by a certain date and must not be sold to be used on our roads by anyone else! 120 point fine , however much a point is valued in our penalty system. Had to take it for a drive to test the brakes with brake meter attached to the RHS front seat for a change :)

New regos on LHD cars over 30 years old no need to display LHD sign in NSW
