If you're in QLD and you're going to pay for a conversion then i think AMauto is the place to go. They make a living doing engine conversions and they have an excellent reputation. Al is a no bullshit person, he'll tell you what you need and be honest about the price.
Basically you need the motor, engine wiring loom and ECU. you'll need an adapter plate to mate the EJ motor to your standard gearbox.

And do some searching on the forum, there are plenty of threads out there about the EJ22 conversion that would apply to your EJ20 conversion - a couple of aspects that will be different but you'll get the general picture

From my limited knowledge stick with a manual drive train, the auto will only fit with a lot of body work (time and $). Use a SOHC motor (EJ20 or EJ22) (DOHC are wider, same block, bigger heads) then the chassis rails do not need to be cut for the motor to fit, less work and $ for engineers etc, check it with a tape measure and previous swaps done here and elsewhere! If you want to turbo it later on the subaru turbo manifolds fit it as well, it will need turbo pistons, bottom end work, different ECU etc if running above 5-7 psi. The SOHC can still make a lot of power if turbo'd, it is not essential to use a DOHC WRX motor. The later EJ20 N/A makes more power than the original 2 litre turbo's did. The Brumby is lighter than a WRX so in theory, N/A 110 kw in your 1000 kg Brumby will be equivalent to turbo'd 150 kw in a 1400 kg WRX.
Changing to a stronger gearbox may change the front drive ratio, so check what it is first and price a rear diff in if needed. The gearbox change will most likely need a new or modded tailshaft, possibly an adapter plate and clutch as well. It depends on the combination of parts you pick.
There is plenty of stuff here and in other forums on this swap, the hardest part is deciding which is the best combination for what you want to do now and possibly later on. There is a lot of help in here and other forums, but it can take a lot of time reading on the net. Reading now is much cheaper and less work than doing the wrong swap.
