It was all good, chock of wood behind a rear wheel, low range to pull us out and if that didn't work Ruby Scoo was waiting for a call about 20m away to do a tow ;)

Many fish caught on that trip, not much sitting in the back of the ute was done!

Cheers

Now that i'm back as an active member I thought I would give this thread a rehash, was created around the time I joined.
I have seen that Tigger is back, any other girls around? Or is Steptoe still too scary? lol
Seems a little quieter since I was last active, though still many guests appearing to be online so hopefully we aren't dying.

Cheers Cam

I'm a reasonably new member but a girl nonetheless! :)

... Have owned two '89 Brumbies in my time and about to be the proud new owner of a 2005 Forester.

I'm just starting out in terms of learning the mechanics and workings of cars. At this stage it is just a hobby, but loving every minute of it.

Would love to see some more chickies on here!

Hey that's awesome! Welcome to the forum!
That was me a few years ago, just starting to learn about mechanics and how cars and those weird Subaru boxer motors work. There isn't much on my car I haven't touched or know nothing about now.
Hope to see some photos and details of your Brumby's!

Cheers Cam

I don't think it matters if you are a Male or Female - as long as you have a passion for the Mighty Subaru that should be all that matters :)

True, but there's certainly a "little something" about a chick that's into subarus and that also does their own mechanical work/knows their way around a car/their subi.

They're certainly rare!

I am a girl member of the forum :) Unfortunately I only appear on here when in trouble and trying to source parts! And once again here we go, I am currently trying to source the long pipe that fits into the water pump on a 93 L series station wagon. We have bought a new water pump, but have been warned the old pipe may be rusted out when it gets removed. Will know more in a day or two when the pump comes out. I am in Rockingham WA. A wreckers at Malaga may have a good one for $75. Subaru will sell me a new one for $115 and take 3-5 days to get here from the east. Anyone closer to Rockingham who has one lying around? Thanks in anticipation :)

Nothing wrong with that!

And there shouldn't be anything wrong with your current pipe - if it's not leaking now it shouldn't be leaking with the new pump, so long as they don't wire wheel or sand blast it!

As for those prices, forget it! PM RSR555, he might be able to help you out but he could also be offshore atm - worth a try.

Cheers
