What did you do to improve your soobie today
Taken the idea from another forum cause I want to bring it to this forum and for some reason this one feals like home.
Well today I wired up the l series fitiment of interior lights to my Brumby with extra added LEDS. Fair dinkum the interior lights up like January 1st.
Worked out the PCD for the EA82 flywheel fit to the EJ20 motor.
Realised I didn't mix the paint well enough when I sprayed the wellback nd the wellback is the slightest shade lighter.
Earlier in the week I fitted the L series interior lights and added the LED's.
Share you creations please.

Wanted to buy some stuff, but stores close shortly after I finish work.
So just a bunch of research, really.
Went to the Bunbury Subaru to pick up some extra grille insert screws,
only to be completely ignored at the parts counter for 5 minutes, so I just left.
It was late and by the time someone returned they'd probably tell me "...they're closed, sorry..."
Want to get some tabs welded on to my roobar for my Narva Ultra Compacts,
but the place that gave me a great quote for TIG welding is only open during the hours I normally work.
So that will have to wait for the rare chance I get to go home early, or my next RDO.

I'm gonna do an oil change this weekend.
Hey revmax, you live in Coffs Harbour, I live in Nambucca.
Steptoe, so you are using a turbo EA81 intake manifold with your carby EA81 to run gas?

Never seen the rooftop camper you have there Bennie, neat.
Coke eh ? I need to flush my Vorts cooling system again .......
Gannon, I grafted a Lancer? efi throttle body to the EA81 carby manifold and found a piece of silicon hose to couple that to the gas mixer directly above....
where is my camera??? I couldn't post pics up last time I drove this baby

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Just shoved the 170F 77C thermostat in, thought it odd, no thermostat in there and it was running like it had one, about half way, then rise a bit, drop, maybe rise further to trigger the fan. Back to old thermostat theory - needs a restrictor to replace the thermostat if running without. My Vort EA82T runs five degrees C cooler without a thermostat. Two engines running differently to each other with no thermostat ??
Then, I spot the 180F 82C thermostat on the driveway - it came out in the burst of release as the gasket let go, martian blood everywhere and a bit of my own

How come I havent seen this before, I thought you would have done a write up.
I changed the engine oil and filter and installed a transmission oil cooler yesterday afternoon.
There have been ongoing road works on my way to work and the dust has taken its toll on my air filter. Gonna have to get a new one on monday

I never used Coke - just the Coke bottle.steptoe wrote: Coke eh ? I need to flush my Vorts cooling system again .......
Don't know if anyone else knows of this trick - it was in a Zoom magazine. Basically cut the bottom of the bottle off, turn it upside shove it in the filler neck and seal it with blu tack or similar then just run the car with the heater on full until bubbles stop coming out. As it gets hot the water will expand up into the bottle. Let it cool down and suck the water back down, replace the radiator cap and good to go.
Although I haven't driven or checked the car since so I don't know if it has worked or not and the article did say you may have to do it 3 or 4 times.
