Roll bar that is.
Picked up a 3inch alloy roll bar today and some extra sunrasia rims.
The bar needs a good rub back, holes welded up and a polish, I may even 2pack clear coat it.

BTW went for a Drive to Taree today and back 472km on 32.3l = 14.6km/L (FAR OUT)
Nice one mate, it'll look sick on the brumby... I should get Sunnie's one installed too, we've only had it for two years now!!!

LOL Just tried a few differnt grades of wet n dry. The scraches are going to need 120 to get rid of them, I reckon I will try 240 in the opposite direction then hit it with the buff, still have the cotton wheel with buffing stick from when I done my old HD some 15 years ago. (didn't chuck it out!) the buff that is. sold the HD to buy a shed.

I got a bar just like revmax for my Brumby, cut about 400mm out of the middle, 100mm off the legs and rough fitted it in place just to see the wunnerful blimd spot :) . Think it was dual cab Rodeo, all shiny and stuff.

Also got some mud on the Brumby late today - er , yesterday

Nachaluva, ive gotten 7.9Litres per 100km around town in my Forester!! and could of gotten it down to 7 if I had standard size road tyres, no roof racks and changed gears around 2500rpm

I usually get about 9-11l per 100km though due to my driving style.

I get more than 10km per liter in constant stop start traffic in my car, I'm happy :p Extended my range theoretically to 450 k's per tank, a bit better than the 370 per tank it got when it was handed to me.
Will it ever end!?

Guards, bonnet and grill have been welded, spray filled, rubbed back, 2pac primed ready for another rub back and some more prepin.
Have been doing this over the last few days and finished one guard and grill today. I am not realy sure what the next step is. i think I am ment to rub the pannels back with the orbital sander again. The black dust coat will show the remaining low spots and I think I am supposed to use good quality boddy filler or spray putty to fill the low spots then sand it back again.

I drive pretty economically but I never get under 9L/100km! :(
I know I have some work to do on Ozzie, like plugs, leads, oil change etc so maybe that'll help. Then I have to change the gearbox oil & diff oil plus put in a breather, put in a fan switch, put on my new driving lights & I'm done! lol

Yep that's it...just many rounds of dust coat, light sand, fill in the low points with spray putty then do it all again till your satisfied with the result. Lots of elbow grease & patience :-D

iridium spark plugs went in. got the ones with 0.8mm gap. was going to get the 1.1mm gap ones and upgrade to a blaster coil. But decided I wouldnt go that way-yet.

found the idle was smoother and now its one less thing I have to attend to for a long time- setting the gap.

Rebushing the rear VW suspension is booked in. then I wont scrub the tyres out so fast

frikken heavy but the honda civic springs seem to be holding up their end. should be very interesting when its all loaded up next week.

The lights are LEDs from i think a chinese company Mighty-boy.com I was lucky enough to acquire them from a mate for free (and the use of my ark welder) :D

Pics of my EA82T mpfi manifold

Image

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

that has taken a leap forward in conversion , first time in about three years. Removed the turbo water pipe from thermostat region, drilled and plugged hole with threebond and a 12mm welch plug, drilled and tapped more unneccessary water and vacuum sources.

It is to be NA LPG EA82T heads on NA block in a Brumby without chassis rail mods of any kind, so in NA LPG form in MY not so many vacuum ports are needed.

A thought struck me that I did not have it ready pre Xmas shutdown, so had to make sure I'd be ready for the swap - still not sure......

Been wanting to try this combo for some time now with turbo cams as well....getting a little bit closer.

A tip for anyone thinking of closing off a hole in a manifold - I found it far easier with a cleaner result to just drill hole to 10 or 12mm whatever suits and jam a welch plug in, instead of drill tap and plug with threaded object at hand.

Now , need to scrounge more 10 and 12mm plugs to stock for next time
