Well, I did this last night:

Image

Got the gearbox in after this pic with the help of a mate. Today got it to the point where the exhaust needs to be modified - then we ran out of time as my mate had other commitments.

Excited though!!

Cheers

I hope so mate! I should get personalised plates (not that I can afford them): OFRDWP - really need a 7 digit plate for OFRDWPN - "offroad weapon"

Pneumatic shocks - too difficult to find, but I'd love a pair if I could. Instead I'm looking into air bagging the rear end... Dunno if or when this will happen though!

Yeah it does! I know two people with 4 posters and work (school) has a two poster - but apparently we're not meant to use it, at least the boss doesn't want to know about it!

Me either! Gotta make sure it's good on road first, then the offroad action can begin...

Here's how we bascially left her this arvo:

Lift kits will soon be available or may already be available through Paul at RSR Performance in Rockingham, just message him for details.

B.T.W speaking of RSR performance a big thank you to Paul for doing my Timing kit last week (Awesome job).

What sets Paul apart from other Mechanics is he knows his stuff with Subi's and he WON'T rip you off, infact I think he rips himself off by under charging for his time, can't wait until he has his workshop in full swing as I will be driving the 500km from Kalbarri to Rockingham every time my L needs work.

Also had Steering rack recond and a custom Exhaust installed last week, going to change the Diff and Gear box oils tomorrow.

Cheers WayneO..................

How is Paul? I haven't read any of his posts on here in recent times, I'm hoping it's because he's busy doing what he loves going ;)

Been a very long time since I've posted on here. So since i just finished doing some major work to my Leone i thought I'd better shared little with all of the good people on here. It's still a work in progress, but stay tuned as i will put together a bit of a build thread for those who are interested shortly.

Today I had my Kuhmo muddies fitted to my Audi rims. Got a great deal from the local Beaurepaires...5 tyres fitted for $50 Image

Outback rims with Geolanders on left, muddies/audi rims on right. The kuhmos are actually ~1.5" bigger...& much heavier :(

holy shizm! Just swapped my tailshaft on my wagon because I suspected it was rattling. Its cut the cab noise in half! Who would have thought a tailshaft could be so noisy . You fella's with old MY's, think you got a rattly exhaust might just be up for a tailshaft.

Regards

Doug

Hear that so often when another Brumby rattles by. The unis often have a tell tale rusty look about them, the rollers dry and worn into their cups. Just some new unis will do it !

Yeah the play seemed to come from the rear UJ. I could grab it and pull it from side to side to make the noise. Just didn't think it was intensifying so much when I started driving. I just popped in a tailshaft Ive had leaning up since I swapped form auto to man. Problem solved ;).

So new rear struts of that other forester model to clear the spring perch??

Bummer. Hope you get it sorted sooner rather than later. Then we'll have to hit up bullock link track again  I'm still working on the vid!

Cheers
