well i got them today, super light!
they fit alright, BUT (here we go) - there is not enough thread sticking out from the hubs to properly screw the wheels nuts on.
I haven't thought about it properly yet, the PCD is correct, the offset I haven't measured yet though. If i fit longer wheel studs my other wheels wont fit with there wheel nuts!
/sigh

Can you not just get longer studs, and when using your other wheels have the end of the studs stick out past the nut?B00sting wrote:I haven't thought about it properly yet, the PCD is correct, the offset I haven't measured yet though. Well, last night on the way home from the pub Ruby Scoo's harmonic balancer came loose It's only been 18 months since I had it last had it off. Must have been the full moon or something superstitious!
Gave my better half a fright - she was the one driving me home at the time! So, midnight, quite back road in the dark here we were repairing the car to get us home. It took half an hour and we were off again. Luckily the keyway wasn't badly damaged!
Now to go out in the bitter cold and replace the thermo fan we had to remove then replace the rear strut that's leaking and not doing what it should be doing properly - if I've got another one handy
Cheers
Bennie

New front brake pads thanks to a US source and mailman, they hitched a ride about eighteen months ago. Here I was thinking Bendix was a good old Australian company Found these metals ? pretty affordable, and they bite just nice. The set that came out had two squeal reminder tabs per pad and started to make odd noises only in reverse and while turning.
They wore very evenly throughout the surface area of the pad, down to about 3 or 4mm - all four pads. I dunno how many km previous owner got from the pads - I got nearly 75,000km out of my share! Change went well, one piston a little stiffer than the other. A high pressure hose down the other day helped - no dust

Replaced the power window motor in the Forester today.
The Auto-Up button is faulty and doesn't automatically switch off and thus burnt the motor out.. Im gonna rig up a little orange LED to tell me when the switch is stuck on until I work how to fix it propperly
