Oi it goes well and fits in with the interior colour! Ruby Scoo has the same in grey on the driver's door, I'm yet to fit the passenger's side.

Cheers

It's so the 'SUBARU' logo can be seen when the seats are all the way forward :)

Oh and did you notice that they only ever put the drivers side on the Brumbys but they had the little places marked (inside the panel) so you could use the ones off the coupes

Aw, c'mon ...can't you just imagine the pocket on the drivers door of a RHD Brumby on the LHS passengers door ??

The time it takes me to take the pic, get it across to imageshack and up here I could proably install the thing that has been kickin' around for six years when i pulled it from my 84 sedan, no, that was brown inside, where'd I get this from ??

You would not believe the hassle I went to to get the correct handed LHS door pocket for scoobs !
I was on the verge of fitting (and being cheesed off because of) a second driver door pocket.......when it occured to me that I had GIVEN AWAY (yes you read correctly) a passenger door with a truck I had sold -which I accuired that had been in a salvage yard for yonks - that had come off a GLF Hatch ! And yes it had a 2 cents worth door pocket on it with the subaru name the correct way around !
A few phone calls later and a 250kms dash later and I had the door card with door pocket in my possesion.

Still I suppose oiking half a brumby here all the way from Oz is on balance about similar effort !

I'll shut the door behind me !:???:

OK, I started it ...

Image

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

you can just make out the embossed SUBARU at opposite ends... i hope

Image

photographers feet clipped from pic of fitted to door card lower

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Some part numbers of the LHS pocket - think different numbers for different colours, more numbers in there too!
Image

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Fifteen minutes !! That's all it took me to walk outside, unlock ute door, walk to shed, select tools (unneccesary winder remover) and a #2 Philips screwdriver, remove arm rest, unpop panel, disconnect speaker, walk to shed, find drill, drill bit, inspect and drill out pre centred holes -in the mould- screw in supplied screws, waste five minutes on misaligned screw hole (angle of the dangle fault) and whack it all back together.

OK, have wasted more time in carrying to shed, store, retrieve (where the fcarthey??), place inside, inspect part numbers, take pics, think about when and how I am gonna do them (it) the RHS is going on the other Brumbies LHS door card - soon.

thanks to revmax for the motorvation :) :)

Less stuff hoarded, more room to stash stuff into the ute

I am yet to see if the holes of a RHS pocket line up nice with the intended holes of LHS door card - caution!

When you are sick - then you have gotta do what you have gotta do !

SLAMS ! the door as leaves the room...........................................

A courier would not have emptied the rear of the MV truck the door was in - removed .... oh I remember I just hoofed out the spare door and nicked the whole thing and brought that home.......... plus there was an ace butty bar about half way back home too !
There was reason to fetch myself - so it did not get rifled for scrap !

Done and dusted - fitted the RHS pocket to LHS door.
Found the centre bottom screw is not central and drilled hole from back of door card as usual but 32mm off from the centre point in the plastic.

Fittd up OK but now shows the handedness from left to right. It is not the usual clean fit we are used to with Subies, pockets are fatter at one end than the other, and there is a curve line that is not quite right but it will suit me and no one will pick it as being wrong side when viewed from almost any angle.

These babies sat around for so.o.o.o long it ain't funny. Also replaced the door card clips with salvaged off L Series, fixed up the arm rest screw base clip made of nylon and then stripped, used a soldering iron and melted in an old door card clip into its centre. happy

better than fitting non genuine stuff

Sounded like a challenge you couldn't refuse hey Jonno ;)

Good info though and so handy to have that LHS pocket on the other door
