Oh , it is the twin port !!

Phizinza's ??

Sam, you will never learn!

What does dad say about this then? I recall his budgetary constraints on a cam regrind.

Not doing it over Easter are you ?

Sam is trying to show us the different head design - no intake porting to the front and rear - straight through

Jealous

WINNER!! WINNER!!!

Damn I was out moving it into the shed when you wrote that so pics are a few minutes late  Great guess Spike.

And, it most certainly is a complete dual carb EA81:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen: manifold, proper D/C heads, cam the whole lot. I've been contacting Phizinza for a week or two about offers and things, keeping it hush hush you know since I wasn't sure if I would get it. Then finalized offers etc and went this morning to pick it up  A nice drive down the Fleurieu, haven't been down that way for a few years, forgotten how nice of a drive it is! A good chat and a wad of cash later we were leaving with this in the back :-D

Johnno as to your worries about funding, never fear never fear I had the money in the bank; I've secured a full time job since the last engine drama and now have money (albeit in small installments) to pour into my car now but I believe I'll be leaving this cam stock since it is different to the single carb one.

What does dad say? Not alot, when Phizinza posted the ad I didn't have enough to make a sensible offer really so I asked to borrow some form Dad, he said yes since I could pay him back in a week or two. However I wasn't aware I was getting paid over the holidays so almost the next day I had enough, didn't have to borrow any. He's not unhappy about it, but I don't think he appreciates what this engine is as much as I do

So, what am I going to do with it? For the immediate future it will be sitting tucked away in the back corner of the shed while I save up to get it professionally rebuilt. No idea on cost at this stage but depending on how keen I am I might get oversized pistons and new valve springs (Phizinza told me they broke on this engine once) Going to get the carbs rebuilt (NOT by me over easter ) and will probably keep the Hitachi's for the time being. Once that is done I will probably have to wait again until I can afford to get a 2" exhaust system, then install the whole lot in the car. I seriously can't wait until that day. I've promised Phizinza it will be all done this year so I can give him a ride in it

You will need to do something about the exhaust system, as the twin carb motor I had needed a custom exhaust. the twin carb motor exhaust ports are way bigger than the stock exhaust ports.

Yeah I know, Phizinza included the Y pipe and it is different. I could either clean that up and bolt it to the new system or use it as a guide to get another one made, unsure at this stage since that's a few months off yet.

Could I trouble you for a few more pics of around the head (mainly the inlet entry) as this looks different to my EA81S that I got from Japan.
