Giles has finally done it!
What is the price? Couldn't see it.
And what is the front valence?

Cheers Cam

78 pound which is about $120AU.
+ freight. $120 AU is well priced, they need to be painted of course.

Wonder how much the tailgates will end up.

Front Fenders and Valance (skirt ??)

Post by 1111giles » Sat Apr 14, 2012 8:24 am

Ok buddys,
Finally got these out and yes they fit super snug - should do as they have been modelled from NOS Original parts ! (Boy did THEY take some sourcing !)
Ok mould company do high end work for new Range Rovers and only work at one high standard level. Trust me (I am a fussy bugger with an eye for detail) these are excellent.:p
Thanks to Steptoe for postin this up - if you clicked the link and could not see its because the ad ran dry - but its now up again. But see here instead.
The Tailgates are next to do and will comprise of steel inside and hook points so as to be 100% strong and to satisfy all of the people ! It will be a 2 part fusion of steel and GRP to make the complete tailgate.
the view side (rear) is to be modelled from a brand new tail gate (from the USA at great cost ! - and I understand no more left there either)
The shape will be as per factory. Not decided what to trim the top with yet though (as strips are now sold out also :()
I am talking to a Oz based distributor atm so shipping may not be the pitta you think  Give your man some encouragement to do the deal by showing your purchase intentions here :-D
We have sold around 7 pairs here so far - with excellent comments coming back regarding. The front valance is the little thingy infront !!! hehehe £45 each folks !

Hahahaha Jonno ! - nah different pot to fund the newbies ! The GRP has to stand onits own 2 feet. Big investment in the Moulds to cover :(
See here folks - and no price hike (i'm just too kind !)

At last! :) I was wondering what happened to these since we haven't heard any news in a while. That's a very good price I was expecting more. I'll definitely be getting a pair this year but on that note; how long will these be in production for? will the moulding place make a batch, wait for them to sell, then make anther batch or will these become unavailable one day? Only asking since I won't be able to afford/won't need them until my car is off the road for restoration, a few months from now.

Just a thought, if all the Aus members who wanted them didn't need them straight away we could make a big order and get them all shipped together, save on postage a bit.
Will it ever end!?

Well done Giles did you use the guards I sent you as the mould or another pair?

we need to fill a 40 foot container with guards and valances that would bring the price of shipping down conciderably :)
