Hey Guys,
Any chance something with an EA81 with a Webber can go out and take some engine bay pics for me, mainly want to see how you have routed lines from the charcoal cannister and a couple of other things. So some generic pics of the engine bay as well as a couple of close ups around the carby, charcoal cannister and near the fuel filter.
Would be very very much appreciated

Looking to do this soon as well, pics would be usefull.
That website uses an 82 manifold, and other mods. What is the most simplistic and easiest way to do it? 81 manifold, adapter plate, carby.
Cheers Cam

Cheers for that Revmax, I had seen that before and used it however had completely forgotten about it, might just help with a couple of things.
Brumby Kid, mine is using the EA81 manifold and a fairly straight forward set up, it is 90% installed at the moment and when everything is in place I will put up plenty of pics and write ups in my build thread

There are a few weber conversions on the forum, someone has posted the correct crank case vent plumbing more than once too.

I'd use the the ignition feed that already goes to the anti-dieseling switch that is on the original carby loom.

Was quite anoying, thort ide done a head gasket...

Hello from the states.
I just finished a weber swap on an 85 BRAT (should be the same as the Brumby). Had an EA81 as well. I believe the only differences are that the carb will be a mirror image of mine (throttle on other side). As far as your question goes, there is no need for the charcoal canister when you do the weber swap. The only vac lines you need would be the Brake booster to the manifold, the EGR to the carb, the vac advance to the carb, and the heater control to the manifold. Then the PCV system seems fairly weird, but is quite simple. You need a 5/8 line coming from each valve cover. One of which hooks directly into the air filter housing via a 5/8 bung. The other 5/8 line goes to the PCV valve. However, In the middle of that line you need a 5/8 x 5/8 x 1/4 T fitting, with the 1/4" line going to the air cleaner on the opposite corner of the 5/8 bung. this provides a vacuum breaker as intended in the original subaru setup.i could be forgetting something but if you need more help, say the word.
Heres some links to help.
