What an epic little adventure this has been.

My free laptop wouldn't boot to dos from the CD drive no matter what I did. I even took out the hard drive after I had removed all other boot options apart from cd/dvd drive.

However I did know that the program runs in win98 so I set it to start in a win98 drive then it prompts me to run the program in DOS, shuts down win98 and boots to the program.

I have an mp4 of it in action but it is 159 meg and youtube wants me to wait 45 minutes to upload it

so when thats done I will post the video

So after a chat with Dr Urabus I changed the crank angle sensor at 6 am this morning, before the tribe got up. when I get a chance I will hook up the computer again and see if it has made a difference.

I'm hoping you listened to me a little better than this.. and you changed the CAM angle sensor?

Remember to clear old codes and take for a test run :)

yes I did and I cleared the codes again, still some ping there, (not as bad as it was) which will hopefully disappear when the new fuel pump goes in.

I was more interested in the running of the scanner on the engine, now that you've replaced the Cam Angle Sensor.. was hoping not to see the flash error on the sensor

found this on ebay

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-USB-VAG- ... 5aef9670d4

for the price it would be interesting to see if it would work with evoscan, it does say in the ad that it isn't supported in win7.

Nice find. So by 'does not support windows 7' I'm guessing they don't have drivers to match win7? Who cares.. win7 is the new vista in my experiences
