Cool, low km for the price.__BIG__RICH__ wrote:its done 150000 ks.. the 2.0l is great i find. got enough power to move the car around. haha
I reckon the 2.0l is gutless in my car, but my Forester is bigger, heavier, less areo dynamic and has big offroad tyres. Oh and the engines f***ed so it runs like shit and fuel economy is about 25l per 100km in its current state. lol

Nice! Mine stock was good but now the engines stuffed it's undriveable. My stock old L-Series 1.8l carby has more power!__BIG__RICH__ wrote:ah that sucks... so far everything is fine in my car.. its great on fuel aswell.. i havnt checked to see how far it goes with a full tank.. coz i usually only put 40 bucks in.. but even with 40 bucks it lasts me over a week.. and i drive it everyday
I get about 250km to a tank now but when it was stock 500-600 around town and 600-700 on the highway, which was pretty good

Now I'm going through about 2 tanks a week! No wonder all my money is flittering away..

Yep, it's because the oil rings are gone. It burns 3l of oil in 1000km now. All the burnt oil has fouled all the sensors giving false readings to the computer. This is causing it to run really really rich, smoke out the exhaust and just run like shit over all. Below 4000rpm just isn't drivable, you have no pull up hill or round a corner.thunder039 wrote:sure you just havnt got a hole in your tankhahaha
driving on the freeway half a km away you can smell burnt oil if you drive with your windows down. lol

Taza, there is a really nice 93 Liberty coming up at Pickles this Wed, only 100,000 on the clock, from memory the 2L computer will run the 2.2 without a problem, just not sure if your intake manifold would fit, if yours is an EJ205 it won't but EJ20 it will. It'll probably go for about 2-$300 and save you a fortune........but room is your problem.

I don't know if the ECU would work from mine with a EJ22... Mines an EJ202 released in the yr 2000. The wirring from the EJ201/EJ20J might of worked

I can store it on the street where all my other cars are. lol

What you need to do is look at the inlet manifold bolts where they attach to the heads on your car, if they are offset (one slightly to the right and the other to the left) it won't fit but if they are all in a straight line then you just use the bottom end with your inlet manifold therefore no wiring to change over.
This thing must have been a one owner old persons car, you'd need to rock up before the auction starts then stay for bidding or bid on line remembering there are fee's and it'll need to be towed but there are lots of good bits on the car that would recoup some or most of your money back. The main think you need to look at is that the timing belt is in one piece, looks like it probably would be and you'll need a couple of hundred in your pocket as they demand a deposit as soon as the hammer goes down, I don't mind turning up to give you a hand with bidding, I've done it dozens of times before. Looks like it's taken the brunt of the impact behind the headlight and you'll be able to use the brakes etc.
Parts wise indicator, light, guard & rear bumpers sell pretty easy, auto should be worth $300, doubt it's ever seen 4,500rpm.
This thing was pristine
