Auto Central Locking for Forester

Post by 4xsama » Mon Jul 09, 2012 8:14 pm

Hi,

Is there any way of making our 2010 Forester auto lock the doors once in (forward) gear, after 1 minute etc etc.

Cheers,

Sounds tricky to do aftermarket. My VW passat does this automatically.

Don't think the JDM or USDM had this feature for you to jail break

Would suggest a high end AM alarm would have the feature.

Some cheap alarm systems and some remote door locking systems (eBay) have a feature called "auto lock".
Generally this means, start the car, have it running or ign turned on, with all the doors closed, for about a minute, then when you hit the brake pedal all the central locking locks.
Turn the ign off and all unlocks.
Carefully check the product details to make sure it does it, as not all do.
Have this fitted to wife and daughters cars. They like it. :-)
