Looking for 14 inch off road tyres in Melbourne

Post by zuba » Wed Jul 25, 2012 10:31 pm

Hi,
Anyone know where you can get 14 inch off road tyres in Melbourne?
I have a set of Toyo Open Country which I got in early 2008 but they're starting to wear down now and I don't think Toyo make them anymore. :( Real shame as they are awesome! Having done couple of outback trips, high country, Tassie, Sky Trek, all done without a fuss.
Any other brands I could try? Or tyre outlets?
Cheers :D
Chris

Try g and s tires. Don't have any experience with tires that small but he specializes in 4wd tires and should be able to help you out.

"Matt" has some 27x14x8.5 all-terrains from Nankang that he likes.
I think most stores will get them on special order.

27 8.5 R 14 Kumho KL71 mud terrains, should be able to get them from pretty much any tyre outlet.

As far as tyre outlets go i don't think brand is important. What is much more important is the attitude of the manager and the quality of work he gets from his employees. Recently I've found Tyre Power in Eltham to have good service, so i'm sticking with them for a while.
