geday...brumby blew 15 amp fuel pump fuse ,put another in,blew that also,two wires were smoking at the back of carbie,mechanic said he put another fuse in and it went?could it have burnt the wires to the solonoid,i think its a fuel cut solonoid?then just kept running?what do the solonoids do..he just left the wires there and said it will be fine?brad

Hmmm... If it's the fuel cut solenoid, I doubt that you would be able to start the car without it connected. If you're not blowing fuses with this device disconnected it must be the issue that's causing the fuse to go to god.

I'd have that solenoid replaced and go from there, it's there for a reason even if we don't fully understand why. It could also be a safety device in the event of an accident :confused:
