Silly question, but is disconnecting my battery briefly going to play havoc with any standard immobiliser on my 2004 outback?

I havent installed one, but i saw someone somewhere say id need some sort of immobiliser codes....

I have not had this issue on them but they way I do it is...

1. Have the drivers window down
2. Turn the ignition off and keep the ignition key in the ignition barrel (never taking it out)
3. Disconnect the battery
4. Do what ever I'm doing with the car
5. Reconnect the battery
6. Start and run the car making sure all systems work fine
7. Switch the car off, take the keys out and shut the door (remember to leave the window down)
8. Lock and unlock the car with the keyless entry pad

To date (and touching wood) I have not had an issue with the immobiliser doing it this way.

A hard lesson learnt this is...

You only ever leave the window up once during this operation I reckon!
