Subaru FF-1
I've been following the progress of this car : ( there's two sites about it )
http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/forum/v ... php?t=3002
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... ?t=1351744
I managed to read all up to the last post ( Warning ... ... it's a long story ) & I'm sorry to say that it has yet to be finished ...
I hope he can get it going again, as I like the shape + funky engineering ...
Has anyone seen one here in Oz ... ... as I don't think they were imported to Australia ...
Update - I have since been advised that they were ...
So if you have seen one here in Oz, please try & get a picture of it & post it here ...

Yes FF-1s were imported into Australia from the late 1960s up until 1971... Seat belt law changes from this time meant they could no longer be imported.
Subaru Australia was not set up until 1973 so the earliest distributors were state based. Anecdotallly most FF-1s were imported to WA, SA and QLD...
There are still some around but good luck finding them! I have only caught a glimse of one in the 'flesh' and that was over 20 years ago (In NSW but it had SA registration was a white 2 door - seems to be the most common colour).

Ok - I've been in contact with Paul & his info is :
"There was one until 04-05 when I was not there for a while and a ****** that used to work there sent it to Simsmetal.
Was a white 4 door and could have sold it 20 times over.
Ah well, the world is full of idiots and we cant help that.
Thanks,
Paul.''
Sorry to say it's no longer there ...
