How about I pick it up from SA?

We'll see mate! I should just make you come all the way over here, then chase me up some long tough hill climbs to get it from me

Cheers

hahaha I have that problem too
No use posting pics of the engine bay - it still looks the same! Here's the input of the snorkel into the factory air box:

Now I see the reason for that difficult steel piece you had made up. With such a nice job he did on it, what a shame its hidden

G'day mate

This has turned out real nice in the end. That Paj snorkel fits the guard surprisingly well. I had been picturing some plumbers pipe or something, but it's heaps better than that now.

Cheers Jake

Thanks mate. When we first started this it was going to be some exhaust pipe up the side, then I got lucky with the plastic snorkel - it looks awesome.

I still want to do some more bending to the top elbow to have the snorkel head sit level - it seems I didn't do enough the first time or it's slowly moulded back with the hot/cold cycles of the weather... Just need to borrow the heat gun from work again.

Cheers

I hope you get this right.. I'm not after any dodgy 1/2 arsed job on my car :p

Have you sourced a plastic snorkel yet?

Or they're just not keen on stocking those parts because people aren't "playing" with the paj's anymore.

I was looking at a triton today and got me wondering if a snorkel from one of them would work - haven't seen a snorkel on one yet but the general shape of the vehicle seems to be about right.

I'm not saying it will be a goer, but possibly another option to see if it can be worked with... I'll keep my eye out to see what I can find.

On ebay it looks like the MK triton, 10/96 - 10/06 diesel looks like the go as an alternative from the pics I've seen on ads there.

I'll be keen to see one of these cruising around to get a good look at it.

Cheers

No worries bro, I'm in no hurry as I need to get the Outback finished for the SA trip before I carry on with the work on the L.
