You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.

hahaha I have that problem tooEl_Freddo wrote: No change in power - but it does go faster - I've got to stop flooring it! Since it's windows down weather up this way I can't help myself with the induction sound above 4G rpm
Now I see the reason for that difficult steel piece you had made up. With such a nice job he did on it, what a shame its hiddenNo use posting pics of the engine bay - it still looks the same! Here's the input of the snorkel into the factory air box:

Thanks mate. When we first started this it was going to be some exhaust pipe up the side, then I got lucky with the plastic snorkel - it looks awesome.Rodeo4jake wrote:This has turned out real nice in the end. That Paj snorkel fits the guard surprisingly well. I had been picturing some plumbers pipe or something, but it's heaps better than that now.
I still want to do some more bending to the top elbow to have the snorkel head sit level - it seems I didn't do enough the first time or it's slowly moulded back with the hot/cold cycles of the weather... Just need to borrow the heat gun from work again.
Cheers

Or they're just not keen on stocking those parts because people aren't "playing" with the paj's anymore.RSR 555 wrote:Not yet.. everyone I know that deals in bitsaremissing are saying this is an old model and hard to get parts for
I was looking at a triton today and got me wondering if a snorkel from one of them would work - haven't seen a snorkel on one yet but the general shape of the vehicle seems to be about right.

I'm not saying it will be a goer, but possibly another option to see if it can be worked with... I'll keep my eye out to see what I can find.RSR 555 wrote:Ok.. I'll have a look out for some Triton ones as well
On ebay it looks like the MK triton, 10/96 - 10/06 diesel looks like the go as an alternative from the pics I've seen on ads there.
I'll be keen to see one of these cruising around to get a good look at it.
Cheers

No worries bro, I'm in no hurry as I need to get the Outback finished for the SA trip before I carry on with the work on the L.
