Topgear Africa Special 2.0 - Subaru!

Post by 60766244 » Tue Mar 05, 2013 5:03 pm

The glorious Subaru Impreza WRX Sportwagon in Subaru Blue and bug-eyes conquering all!

Topgear's my favourite television show, so naturally I don't like having to wait months for it to come over the big puddle, and conform to televisions planned screening times.

Some really great snatch-recoveries in the mud pulling out a huge heavy Volvo and Beamer.

For all those wishing to see it you can find it on streetfire.net (Streaming) or finalgear.com (Torrentz/Magnet Links).

When searching for it look up Season 19 Episode 06 - There's a part two coming out in 6 days too.

Enjoy all. :D

Watching this episode made me feel very comfortable should I ever need to drive my Subaru through deepest darkest Africa...

I was hoping they might fit a lift kit and offroad tyres, but they complete other 'interesting' modifications instead!

Well worth a watch!!

Look at that little wagon go! Handling that stuff like a champ. Not looking forward to seeing what damage they do to it next episode though :( This episode/s looks promising too, they've been pretty bad lately.

Agreed! I saw that tiny clip of film and shuddered.
I guess Hammond did what all Subi drivers do - think their Subaru is (totally) unbreakable.

C'mon next week!

I saw a season 3 episode the other day and the comparison was like midday to midnight. I'm thinking too much good food, smokes and grog have gotten to Clarkson... I suppose when you've had the same show running for 20 years comparisons are gonna be made.

watched both part 1 and 2 yesty. the best top gear special so far! they covered some great terrain and looks like a lot of fun!
i think it would have been more fair if they had used a liberty wagon rather then a rexy, just so all cars were of similar size and the subie didn't have have an unfair advantage.

He didn't let his tyres down :)

Was a great show and a really good send up of alot of those "explorer style" shows that go out to prove something.

Mind you they did show how well an "estate wagon" could deal with off roading :)

I was surprised how well they all did.

My favourite shots are the ones with the Subaru snatching the larger wagons in the mud. Slipping and sliding everywhere! :D

Topgear definitely needs more Subi action.

Was awesome, how was the raft they built guys? I couldn't believe it worked...

The Subie was the best, I was surprised how well he did with the stock wrx clearance...
The Volvo though was the most impressive with its uber low slammed body and 18" wheels!

Have the new , yet to be repeated series of Top Gear been relegated to a digital channel like GO ? I have seen TG on the guide but just flicked it with the idea they are all repeats - expecting the new stuff to be on the main channel WIN - maybe I have missd something

No Jonno you haven't missed anything on the telly, this is the "just aired in the UK" episodes only available on the interwebs ;)

And it really was the best special they've done so far, a bit set up though when James smashed his last wheel and magically the next scene he'd "sourced another wheel"...from the support truck  And how was Hammond's smashed wish bone? Must be all that British salt.
