hello
just wondering if someone can help me. I looking at buying a
1998 liberty RX B2 but. It has Limited edition badge on back under AWD.
but I can find any info on the web about it. Only one that come up is the
Bilstein Edition.
it has all the same specs as a bilstein. Momo steering wheel, leather seats, snowflake rims.
so then only thing im not sure if it has is the bilstein shocks.
its got a sunroof and it has climate control. seems to have everything.
so just wondering what release this would be?
thanks

I've never seen "limited edition" but they only came in as RX or RX Bilstien. Only thing about these Bilstien is only the struts they have installed & different Rims.

bit of badge engineering in the last 15 years ?
Can you supply a VIN minus its last few numbers ? The compliance plate has an approval number of four or five digits ????

I thought that the bilstien edition had one of these bages
The special edition badge is most likely a dealer badge, not a factory applied one.

I've never seen one of these badges on a subaru. I'll start looking harder!

They aren't common in these days now, getting quite rare now days -
see this photo below -
It always had Bilstien sticker*on the right side below AWD badge, only came in sedans with these 16" rims (same what I had in my signature picture) and body kit, basically its an RX body with leathers, automatic climate control and it didnt have heated seats nor heated mirrors. Gen 2 was the only model that had Bilstien badge on.
Gen 3 - B4 Are also "Bilstein 4 cylinder twin turbo"
Gen 4 - Bilstien are "B Spec" - short for "Bilstien Specification" with facelifted bumper, gunmetal rims and came in 2.5 litre turbo or 3.0 litre H6.
There are Bilstein struts suit for wagons and sedans.
Im not sure about Gen 5 as havent looked onto that.
Cheers
