Last pictures of my Subaru

Post by 2nd Hand Yank » Sat Mar 09, 2013 9:00 am

It looks like I won't be keeping my Subaru after all.
So busy with life (wife, two puppies etc) that I hardly have free time
and I wish it had a lot more power to match my 27x8.5-14 all terrains
but now no time to make it better. :(
We have an extra vehicle now (Rav4 awd with auto) for the beach.

A 2" exhaust + a Webber carby would probably liven it up nicely... :)
As would my dream, an EJ22 or any EJ for that matter.

It will probably go to auction locally...
unless someone here raises their hand and wants to buy it off me first? :)

Sorry I still don't know how to make paste them into the thread as fully opened pictures.

If you are somewhere between the Sydney and Brisbane area and would like my car
drop me a line!...
Almost any offer will probably be better than what I can get at the auto auction.

Can't say how long I will keep it but the sooner I find a buyer the better.

It has so many extra features; 2" lift kit with Engineer Cert for NSW :D, Recalibrated speedometer (for 185/70R-14s), recently re-charged air-con, darkest legal window tint, power steering, brighter headlight globes, dash mat, premium sound system, keyless entry, Touring Wagon seats (height adjustment :)), two sets of tyres; 185/70R-14's I use as highway tyres and 27x8.5-14's for the soft stuff. In the soft stuff on 27's my car is unstoppable... except by a long steep hill climb with the big tyres; the EA82 is eventually overwhelmed by engine load and quietly decelerates to a stop.

Thanks guys.

*Plus I figure many people would like to see an L Series with a 2" lift and 27" tyres.
The front guards have been lightly trimmed at the bottoms so the 27's don't rub.
I rolled the trimmed edges so they aren't sharp and painted the fenders after trimming so no rust.

Matt if you have uploaded these to your album in your user control panel, you can copy the very bottom option which has [img] then another bracket after it with /img In square brackets. then you can paste it in your post.

I suspect by the way that your wifey has had a lot to do with this decision, not just what we were talking about the other day :)

Good luck with the sale Matt, it'll be sad to see her go!

Sorry to see your car go after all the work you put into it with the lift kit and the speedo cable gearbox.
Unfortunately, I may be in a similar boat in the near future. My mother wants to give me her immaculate, low ks Suzuki Vitary 4WD when she stops driving (she is 85 now) and I would be mad not to keep it.
This means I will have to part with either the MY or the L series as I am not rich enough to support 4 cars in the family.
Every day I change my mind on which one I will part with but never reach a happy conclusion.

Looks good 2HY!

Go the EJ20/22, drop the RAV4. You won't regret it!

But I realise it's not always that easy :(

Cheers
