1993-1998 Are Gen 2 models.

But Gen3 models also came out in 1998
Gen 1 models also came out in 1993.

Yes thats correct. Theres series 1 and 2 Gen 2 Liberty, 1996 model was facelifted.

Basicly they are the same body, just changes to cosmetic stuff that are bolt-on.

Why for you ask?

ate 95 - late 96 have a different paler interior and the 97 - late 98 have a different front bumper and a deeper grille, other than that they are pretty indistinguishable and all parts are interchangeable.
