Who's Brumby do i have?

Post by Rock Ape » Wed Oct 02, 2013 8:42 pm

Hi everyone

New to the forum should have joined sooner since the previous owner has the sticker on the windscreen!

Anyways does anyone know the owner of this brumby? It has the ej20 conversion, nice lift, custome compressor 5 speed ect.

He was distraught to see it go and I wanted him to know it is alive well and appreciated!

It used to have big tyres on it and Guyph lives in Thornlie. I think Guyph's brother moved back home and was selling off his cars.

Oh.. Hi and Welcome to AUSubaru.. it's a great little forum and we get out and about for beach runs every so often if you're interested.

I was the odd one out everyone else having late model 50,000 plus 4wds.

Very satisfying getting up a hill the brand new d max with 4 inch lift couldn't get up!

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. Yes that was my bro's brumby... And yeah we were quite sad to see it go as from what you can see we built it from the ground up. Actually thats not how we bought it,
This is.... was rock standard!

Good to know its well taken care of. Yes it did have big corsa tyres but he now has sold them separately.

Btw, If you are interested, i still have side steps, a rear wheel carrier and a alu rear bumper that we where gonna fit to the car but never got round to it.

Would be good to see you when we go out on trips:)

Surely not the same Brumby! She did get a lot of tlc! I'm keen as mustard to get out on some trips. I would be keen for the side steps and bumper. Would they be a hassle to fit? I'm stuck in a small apartment makes it a nightmare to get the tools out. I'd be keen to pick up a spare of you aswell the spare I picked up from a wrecker was a 5.5 inch wheel which doesn't fit as I found out on the last trip out

Guyph has a fitting service :)

I'm pretty sure you've got the aftermarket 14" Sunnies on there, so best to head down to Mr Mag in Morley and see if he has a single one lying around.

You wouldn't know any tyre shops where I could get some bigger rubber? I struggled to find a tyre shop to replace my tyre for the sunnies NOR let alone source anything more suitable for 4wd

Mr mags has closed.

I have a set of 5 sunnies for sale, could sell you the lot and you could do like my brother, have a road set of tyres for everyday driving and a offroad set of tyres:)

Done yeah I've been thinking of that would be an easier option as I do drive to the airport and around town a fair bit. Keep them aside for me and let me know when your free for me to pick them up. Cheers for that Paul I'll give Sean a ring tomorrow

Talk about unlucky, i had those rims on gumtree for 3-4 months and nothing and this morning some guy rang and bought them. I just see your reply now...

Also the rear wheel carrier is now also sold.

I'll keep an eye out for another set for you, they come now and again...
