yeah still got her, i bought that think with 50k on it 8 years ago when i was on my p-plates. Its now got over 200k haha, mechanically perfect :) which is why i'll never sell it.

The bottom bumper is dead, the top is how it sits today, blitzen imported bumper from japan. Still drive her everyday, best car ive ever owned (up until my new i45)

I know this is about Gen2 (which we all agree is the best model) but because Alex spoiled it, I'll through this link in for Ken :)

Very nice, love the wheels. I dont like fancy rims with extra "bits" on it to jazz it up, IMO just makes it look untidy, plus a bitch to keep clean lol. Those are simple & elegant

(plus would show off the calipers if you decide to paint them )

It might look OK in the flesh (or is that "in the steel") but IMO it blows chunks! lol. The dead straight line just makes it worse, perhaps have the blue go up to the windows to have more of a rake in the front?

Thats just awful.

But not as bad as the Liberty in the Gumtree ad. That is just plain wrong.
Not sure if it is the two-tone colour choice or the lack of pinstripe between the colours or just where they put the join but its just 'orrid !!

Must just be me because black/CF bonnets seem to be very popular (I even saw a factory Porsche on TG USA with one and that looked bad too) but I just don't understand why when it just makes it look like a mismatched panel.
They need to be extended or blended somehow and it would look a million times better. Even just maybe a black pinstripe on the adjoining panels.

Look at the Audi R8 with the side blade - that was designed to be a different colour and people still hate it and think it looks odd.

Next week when I get my new months data allowance I will post up picks showing what I mean.

Nice paint job I agree on continuing the black on the roof and/or guards. But I don't think the black bonnet only carbon wrap style looks that bad

Too bad the Libs and Forresters lately having been getting worse and worse design wise, just really ugly :(
Will it ever end!?

That blue Rex looks nice, the blue is awesome. Looks like a vinyl wrapped bonnet. There's something magical about carbon fibre esp when it gleams in the sunlight, vinyl just cant compare.

Maybe its the colour combination...blue, black & gold...just works

Each to their own on the black bonnet thing - personally I think it just attracts the wrong attention from the cops.

What I do hate is a car that's done up to be all sporty that's got nothing but a bog stock donk under the bonnet - or a flogged out one...

Best are the sleepers  I do love a good sleeper!

Impreza, WRX, Forester, Outback will all fit, must be something around, try Rexnet.

This is my fave Gen 2.

I hope someone smashes all the windows on that wagon...just what he deserves putting a tow hook facing the wrong way on the bonnet. He obviously thinks its funny to disembowel pedestrians!

hulk1982, without going to the trouble of hubcentric rings & special order lug nuts for Audi wheels, you're stuck with Subies as d_generate mentioned. Not sure bout the '94 lib, think its 5x100 stud pattern, just make sure its the same stud pattern as later models changed to 5x112 IIRC
