Depending on how much damage and what it costs to fix verses what the car is worth at the end of the repairs.
Got any pics?

You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.

A couple of pics attached.
I've always wanted a wrx and if this ends up being pretty nice ill get it registered.
Then i can do the big stereo in it and do a few mods to the engine.
The brumby might have to wait for an ej22 etc as suggested.

There's clearly something else wrong with this car.. no insurance company would write it off for just a guard. Sorry not trying to be negative but just curious why it was only $1900.
Have you started it and driven it yet?

Looks like both front guards, the drivers door looks damaged, rear drivers quarter panel appears to be dented, passenger door drivers side looks damaged, the rear skirt on the drivers side looks like it has come loose and the boot looks a little crooked.
someone nudged something in this and sideswiped something as well.
A panel beater would charge the highest possible prices for an insurance quote.
would take very little to get it back on the road again assuming the motor and gearbox are ok.

You'd be surprised what some write offs have wrong! Saw a Rangie that needed a pull against something immoveable to pull its face out and zip all else before it was rebirthed legally. Repairable write offs almost became a thing of the past to reregister now east coast jlast 18 months, becoming parts supply but when no more repairable write offs, not the demand for parts for repairs, downward spiral.....seen some abominable repairs bodywise to classy breeds that must be for vision impaired buyers

I know someone who's Aurion with 28000km got written off cos his wife put a hole in the sump on a car park gutter. They managed to buyit off the insurance company for $3000 at my suggestion. I put a new sump on it & they are still driving it. There payout was $18000 minus the 3 grand to buy it back. I took a punt & it paid off for them.
Guess the insurance figured the engine would be cactus.
