Black bonnets suck dude. Especially on red cars.
Is that Honda-esque red tinting I see too?

But I bet body parts that its still quicker than your Brumby even with the clutch slipping like crazy. Actually I bet its still quicker with the handbrake pulled for good measure.

Well I reckon the photochop looks good - minus the black bonnet though.

Personally I like a bit more tyre wall then that. There's a reason why race cars have a bit of tyre wall... plus, imagine the ride, bumpy as hell...
Still, good job with the photochop, looks nice. And I don't understand what this anti black bonnet thing is about. Black bonnets are good for dissapating under hood temps. I'm not saying I like the look of a black bonnet, I just don't really care. Looks good to me, but so would red.
Ok, heres my dream Brumby

thats a
NO there, mister.
black bonnets are bad. complete and utter opposite to what you said. It doesn't dissipate under bonnet temperatures, rather, it attracts it.
cars have black bonnets for either three reasons: too lazy to paint a replacement part, deliberately painted to mimic a carbon fibre bonnet, or it is, in actual fact, a carbon fibre bonnet. (to save weight on the car).

Have to agree with Smoov. Black bonnets look like they havent been painted. Might as well put on a different coloured door as well to keep the theme going.
I do like your photoshop efforts though Joe - good pic.

Hey, I didn't say where in the world they would be good did I?
Black doesn't just collect heat faster, but it can dissipate it faster too. Which means, in the dark, in the snow, or in the rain it would cool down more/better/faster.
Don't get your jocks in a twist smoov, you like to be hostile huh? You know you can talk with out big letters or bold and still get a point across..?
If you like something, don't let others convince you that it's crap, unless you think that it maybe crap but your just not sure... Who cares what others think? isn't that a little ricer? show pony?
Although, if I were to paint a hood black, I'd have to paint the grill under the windscreen too... just looks a little weird.

Yeah Phizinza that's sortof correct. It does dissapate heat well, that's why radiators are painted black.
But in 90% of actual scenarios which cars are driven, a black bonnet will increase engine bay temperatures.
Call me shallow but I still count put the main disadvantage of these bonnets down to looking crap.

Seriously, after a short drive I could boil a pot of water on my hood.

Black bonnets have been around way before the days of carbon fibre bonnets, they were usually painted matt black as an anti glare thing, especially in offroad racers and the like with roof mounted spotlights.

That makes sense. Of cause, well placed lights on the roof would not shine on the hood, but I guess not all cars have that much room up there, esp when you need to mount a spare up there too.

<On topic>
... The lights look a little odd. If I were to do a single light conversion I think it would look more like the L series ones. But I still like the quad lights more then them, so I guess I wouldn't do the conversion. But it is a interesting concept.
