Hi all,

I have just bought a 93 Liberty sedan to use in some speedway events & thought you guys might help me with some questions I have.

When I was moving the air flow metre I found a fuse holder with "FWD" on top (clipped to the drivers side strut on the booster side), I was thinking if you put a fuse in it does it change the car to front wheel drive only? Or should it already have a fuse in it?

What are your thoughts on looking the back diff or do I go to the next tyre up on the front wheels to help with the split in the AWD systum ? I will be driving on a wet dirt/grass track in an oval shape with two small jumps.

Any thoughts would be great.

I'm guessing your liberty is an auto - the fuse is the giveaway... This fuse is used when being towed by a tow truck to disengage the rear wheels. It should not have a fuse in it all the time!

I don't understand what you're asking about the back diff? Run all wheels the same size and you won't have any issues. If you're jumping the vehicle a set of new struts would go a long way to helping with the vehicle's overall lifespan. Custom would be even better if you can afford it.

The awd system should be along the lines of a 90f to 10r torque split unless you are going uphill or loss of traction via the car detecting different speeds between front and rear wheels. I have no idea of how to go about locking the diffs to get 50/50 torque split but as far as im aware the manuals have 50/50 from stock.
