Anyone have good 82-84 coupe pics?

Just wondering if anyone has any good pictures of 82-84 coupes, mainly after pics of 'done up' ones to get inspiration from!
If it's easier just PM me for an email address and send them that way
I have in my possession a silver 83 GLF5 coupe, in great rust free condition (couple of dings here and there) which I am
thinking of doing up with EJ20G, possibly a rear wheel drive only gearbox or awd auto, and lowered with black liberty 17's (if I can get them to fit?)
Is going to be a delayed project as I still haven't finished my Brumby conversion yet

What do the good people think??

Well, all the pics of the one I thought would be the best inspiration for you have been pulled for one reason or another, but I've dug them up for you. Done by 85WRX:
Start with:
Then create this:
Build thread with pics.
That should get you going (on your project).
Cheers

Hell yeah, that's what I'm talking about!!! Thank you so much Bennie

This is one I thought I had seen on here years ago but couldn't find a trace. I think I traipsed through 25 pages of owners rides here but found zilch!!
I see that he had a mate with one too, waiting outside the front gate.
Thanks again.

Yeah, that one is his too... I think he had about three at the time, moved one on and kept the daily and the project
You in the shed now? The build thread will give you the best idea of what he's done. AFAIK he's put the WRX firewall in to fit all of the WRX/impreza AC/climate control stuff into the coupe
Cheers

Yeah I was just having a read of his efforts there. 6 months of trials and tribulations just on the dash,
omg and I thought I was happy fixing the digi dash in it

(that's just reminded me I need to do a thread on my analogue sports dash mod for hi/lo and 4wd lights) Will do one soon

Thanks again

Someone had some shots of a gold one on the race track stuffed with goodies. LegacyTT Ian had one with Forester wheels filling its arches, probably still has it.....

There's always something sexy about pillarless coupes!

And this was when I had it at normal height. Great little cars.

I could get some bad pics ?? Gold two door like Ians, but missing a few panels due to it being in a wreckers, rust etc, an auto. An 89 build yet has points dizzy and coil ! The doors also have a double strength side intrusion bar as part of their structure compared to a Brumby door. When they scrimped, they scrimped !

Thanks LegacyTT, yours was one of the only ones I could find good pics of on here, but hadn't seen that one outside
the big shed, looks great

Pity its not going, one day I hope!!

If it's an 89 build of an MY Steptoe, I want to see pics, good or bad, as it would be rather rare!!
I actually only bought mine as a parts car, I even started to wreck it out (SilverBullet has the A/C, Rodeo4Jake has the P/S)
and yeah was going to keep the doors for the Brumby as they are stronger.
But about then I came across the picture of the one below, just neat and tidy with its white wheels, which made me
decide I would do something to honour the old girl as she was/is virtually rust free and worthy of saving!

I'm sort of taken by the Vortex lines beside her

and "old girl" is precisely what the wrecker referred to her as yesterday arvo !!
But, honestly, that blue one looks neat - pillarless, rear window wound down, filled guards.
See what I can rustle up

Too many projects already but would love to have a sleeper coupe in the shed
Damn rego and other costs associated with owning a series of vehicles

My Coupe will live again. One of my son's wants it as his first car. As he has just turned 14 I have a while to wait. He will help with refitting the EJ22 etc and will want it low, as per my second pic.

Yeah, trick is to find a suitable club - and keep up the interest to keep the rego current. At least vic has brought their club rego out of the stone age so you can actually use the vehicle for private use!

Grayland? Sounds dodgy!
I've never heard of a two door MY sedan

But I've heard of a two door MY coupe

Sounds like the perfect time to pull it apart, freshen up the suspension bushes, give it a lick of paint, tidy up the interior and shove the stez in ready for his L's
Cheers

Hmm, I do like both the colour, the look and photo was taken at just the right angle to show its best.

It might be the rare '89 MY 2 door sedan, as driven by unicorns Bennie?
