Power steering rack seals - HELP!

Post by Corax » Thu Sep 25, 2014 9:13 pm

Hi All,

Could someone please tell me where I might be able to purchase a new set of seals for the p/s rack in my brumby? The old 'brake fluid in the p/s fluid trick' didn't work! The leaks are getting worse and the fluid is falling on the exhaust giving every drive that wonderful 'burning oil' experience. Please help!

Thanks,
Dave.

Ok how about this, does anyone know if the MY series ps rack is similar or the same as the L series ps rack? Had a look online and can find ps seal kits for the L but nothing for the MY. Thoughts please?

I would say they are different but Frog AKA Andy would be the one to know for sure.

I do Know RSR sends his racks off to be rebuilt, costs around $380 from memory.

this guy on Ebay does it for $280 before postage (both ways)

recon rack for $550 + postage.
