JDM Twin Carb Diagrams

Post by phantomD » Thu May 07, 2015 7:37 pm

Hi all,

I know I'm unlikely to have any success, but does anybody know more about the factory EA81 twin carbies, specifically a plumbing diagram or equivalent information?

Just got a few weird bits and pieces, appears no fuel return line on these, also the existing '89 emissions plumbing is very different to what's on the older carbs.

TOONGA, Phizinza, Matt, others?

Many thanks.

Have a look at My Album there are some useful photo's in there that pretty well show what went where on the Factory setup.
Cheers Coxy.

Thats a very nice looking engine ... I've got to ask... what is the canister on the back drivers side of the engine?

It is something to do with EGR. There is a hole in the exhaust port which leads to a hole on the back of the head which that pipe connects to, then into the air filter box.

the cannister from memory has spring clips, to get inside where it seems to be a mesh gauze like filter. Had one on mine too! Holes get plugged up
