probably close to 3 months ago I lent Silverbullet my power steering bracket so he could make a copy as he had discovered that the standard bracket that he had would not do the job when he went to put in his power steering , its in another thread here.

Fast (slow) forward and I totally forget that he still has it, AND he leaves for 5 weeks in the UK mooching off relatives that probably don't realise how much he eats

- AND I decide to put the power steering into the silver brumby 2 days before i need to tow a camper trailer away for the long weekend.

Get 2/3rds through the job and "discover" that the standard bracket will not fit - Panic attack at stress city

Then I remember that I stole a second power steering set up 3 weeks ago, and I pray to Murphy that I also got the same bracket at the time - and I had !!!

here are photos of the difference, power steering one is on the left in all photos - interesting that the standard one is all fancy pressed metal with reinforcing flanges etc, and the power steering one is just bent thicker strap metal.

Glad you got it sorted in the end, apologies for jetting off and leaving you in the lurch. I'm pretty sure I messaged you about it, I should have returned your bracket before I left.

An even bigger stressor is when you have spent hours and hours cleaning, degreasing, painting and installing the Brumby engine X-member.
Fitted the engine, control arms, struts and brakes to it.
AND THEN find out that some Brumby X-members wont accept the power steering rack at all within their mounting points

That is dispicable

From my experience this is similar to L series!
