What is your 0 - 100 kph ? [GPS CORRECTED]
OK, not sure ever seen a post dedicated to a 0 to 100kph time on this forum
if there is, someone find it and stick it here please !
Not really a forum for quick times except maybe on the dirt or in the mud
But a tar run nought to a hunge and only if you run it to the 100 kph of a GPS checked speedo I reckon. Otherwise no point is there ?
Been in my EA82M LPG powered Brum with 5 speed 4WD DR box and used car clock to measure a 0 to 100 in 22 seconds. Then on another stretch similar uphill incline in my EA81 20/60 cammed 4 speed LPG Brum snorting through a spfi inlet manifold and wha....?? 30 seconds ?? Another try, still with full tank and load in the back 0 to 100 18 seconds.
Doing this in prep for a 5 speeder into the EA81 see if get anything other than an extra shift up to top gear

Struggling to think of anywhere I could test this Unless I drive 2 hours north to the only drag strip in (out of) town
I wonder, there must be a phone app with gps speed tracking and a stop watch built in for this sort of thing.

maybe an app that will do it virtually for you based on numerous data entered ?
OK, harking back to the days before I worked out I would never be driving the new cars in the three magazines I'd buy each month -the road tests were not just quarter miles and to a 100 were they ?
need to GPS check my new to this beast rim and tyre combo - 175.70.13 GoodBoots - I may be leading myself on
later tries achieved 17 seconds. Bit later on figured may as well try for a lower speed, not just to cater for Sam - save the gearbox 0 to 80 12 seconds as I am reach for third in the 5 speed.
Thought Jules was gonna come in with 12 seconds to 100 in his EJ'd money pit.
Actually reminded self was doing this not only for gearbox comparo swap coming up - still got my GLTA organs kicking about - wanna see if I gain sumptin' from the spider inlet due on very soon.

There are a few apps out there for phones..
Some free some you have to pay for.
They do 0 to 100, 1/8 mile 1/4 mile.
Just look in the app store on your phone.
I have a GTECH that works off gforce.
I've never put it on the outback..
But I'm not sure the phone ones are very good or not.
You do have to make sure they do not move around in the car.
So who will have the fastest 1.8ltr?

different Brumby EA81 4 speed 20/60 cam 0 to 80 11 or 12 seconds, keep on buzzing to 100 at 17 seconds, so no different to the EA82 5 speed just the EA81 such a free revving, buzzing light throttle sprung. Try 60 to 100 in 3rd of four gears - AW! Forget it ! The EA82 5 speed just runs rings around it !
EJ22, FT4WD, 215/60R15, 3.7, Brumby, around 12 seconds if I remember correctly.

Any Brumby with the crap tyres available for 13 inch rims these days would do 0 to 100 in the wet in about 10 seconds if you change gear fast enough, Trouble is the car may have only moved 20 feet in doing it.
FWD and modern tyre options in 13 inch mean traction off the line is non existant, I run 14 inch with reasonable kumho's and Sydneys oily roads in the wet it wheelspins at 1200 RPM taking off normally and uphill it is best to select 4WD High to get moving.

Had three goes in the wagon today, best was around 11 seconds on the phone stopwatch. I dare say if someone who could actually drive properly had a go it could do it in about 10. Bumping the redline up to 6500 instead of 5500 would prolly do the trick. Plenty fast enough for me. Il try it in the vortex some time soon.
