BRUMBY REAR DISC's

Post by Gazza01 » Sun Jan 22, 2017 11:30 am

I have everything to set up my brumby with rear Disc's except rear Rotors . My question is Do I use Vortex rear Rotors RDA7554 or the front Vortex/Brumby Rotors RDA640.

You can only use the vortex or RX rear discs as the front discs will not fit between the calipers when the pads are in place. I don't think the front discs will bolt to the rear hubs for that matter.

The rear discs are solid, not ventilated like the fronts.

As Toonga said, it's RX turbo or Vortex rear disc rotors you need. Since you've got the hubs (the hard bit to get), you can use the rotors from a 2wd vortex ;)

I'm thinking you mean what are the differences between FWD & 4WD rear disc ? ... none - It has the same part number, only the hub is different.

Rear Disc : ( 2WD & 4WD )

As for the ability for the front rotor to fit on rear - nope, mount / size is all different ... :(

Front Disc :

Edit : Deleted the old image, replaced with the one I was looking for ...

Above is the 4wd rear disc hub required for this conversion for 4wd MY and L series Subarus. It's not the same size shaft as the front axle so a front hub won't fit.

Yeah the rear disc - it's the same, just the hubs are different.

Anyone here looking for a set of rear discs ? I have a line on a set (possibly excluding the rotors, which would cost a fair bit to ship from the US) for around $160 US plus shipping from the US to you. I sold the last set I found on USMB but if anyone here wants them let me know.
