RX Leone LSD Diff

I've sourced an RX Leone rear diff (not recently, ages ago), yes its 4.11 LSD from an Automatic RX Turbo. Now I wanna to know if I could change the crown from 41 teeth down to 37 teeth to match the AWD gearbox. Can it be possible to do that myself at home? or do I require special tools? Will the bolt holes fit? (I'm getting the 37 teeth crown from an 89 L series wagon) as my rear diff that I'm suspicious that is worn out as it makes whine noises, and while I am changing the crown over, is there any notices that I should do while its taken apart ie. New seals etc?

You can't change the front diff to 4.11 ratio, but thats ok because if your rear diff came from a Leone RX then it isn't 4.11 anyway, its a 3.9, or maybe a 3.7.....

I can't remember because I haven't thought about this for a while...

If it came from an auto RX turbo it would be a 3.7. If it is a 4.11lsd its from a Ej powered car. to swap the 4.11 lsd to the 3.7 just get a 3.7 open diff and swap out the centre of the lsd using the outer cups from the donor diff and shims. you will have to recess the non lsd housing for clearance to one side.

Auto turbo RX was 3.9 rear wasnt it? and a 3.7 front with 1:1.1 transfer

I remember this as the brumby we did with ea82t auto we left the standard rear 3.9 in there and bolted up the auto box to it without issues

Auto RX is 3.7 and come standard with open diff not LSD.

only the tourers had the reduction the turbo auto rear diff is 3.7
