New Look to the L Series - maybe!?!?

Post by BlackMale » Mon Jun 26, 2006 11:53 am

Hey Crew,

I have been looking though some of my pix and I was wondering if any of you had some photos of an L series that had the panels smoothed off? By ‘smoothed’ I mean the removal of the black strip on the doors and front/rear panels ¾ of the body and the groove above this cleaned/filled in? Alternatively would there be a computer program (Paintshop maybe) that would be able to create this effect?

Just thinking about stuff and maybe a different look to the RX – not that I do not like the current look. Who knows it might look crap or I will chuck in the to hard basket. Has any1 see or know of any1 doing this?

Thanks L8a…

i've seen it done to an AE82 corolla (yeah, yeah, not a subaru...similar lines though). Rubber strips removed, and then raised, filled and smoothed to suit the rest of the body.

looked crapola IMO.

colourcoding the black strips, however, I think would look good.

I remember seeing a red brumby in a hot 4s magazine ages ago. It was the classiest looking brumby ive ever seen. Had the plastic strips removed, wheel arch flares enlarged, colour coded mirrors, flawless metallic red paint, plenty of other bodywork mods I cant remember now. Also had a whopping great turbo sticking out the middle of the bonnet.
