Some bastard ran in to my Subie
I was driving to work the other day minding my own business when a bloke in the right hand lane decided he wanted the same bit of road that I had. He just pulled left with out looking and ran straight in to my bullbar.
That was fine I thought as it wouldn't have damaged that but the fact that he kept coming and ran me in to the gutter did some damage. Just to top it off the left front wheel jammed on the gutter and yanked the car around. Yep, full spin and heading directly at a light pole.
I happened to be towing my trailer at the time wich jack-knifed and came in under the back passenger wheel. It lifted the car up enough for me to think I was going over. Luckily the front drivers wheel now hit the left hand gutter and that yanked me around some more so I was now going backwards towards the light pole.
I think it was the rear drivers wheel slamming in to the gutter that washed enough speed off so I didn't hit the pole. The car stopped with about an inch between my back wheel and the pole with the trailer jammed up under the back left side of the car.
It came around far enough to damage the wheel arch above the wheel, bent the sill and crushed the exhaust. Bent a few wheels (Marquis alloys), bent the steering and the trailer.
Gonna be with out the ute for a week now while it gets fixed.

The damage is not a huge dent. Just lots of little things, 3 out of 4 corners have been dented in some way. Maybe 2 wheels have been buckled. Muffler ruined. BUllbar shifted. It is still drivable, just has bad shakes.
The young guy was very apoligetic, and shaken. We were all young once, he will learn from this. We are just very greatful the car pulled up before putting Brett into a powerpole.
