Attention WA People!

I'm just writing this to let everyone in WA know that I will no longer be a source of car parts. After several recent incidents I have had with both customers and management at my work, I will no longer be putting my neck on the line to service the local Subaru community.
Basically the main reason for this development is that I have been given a warning from senior management about charging items too cheaply and also been verbally cautioned as I have been "abusing" staff purchases, ie buying too many parts without justification.
Also there is a particular dealing going on whereby I'm really putting my neck out for someone and most likely its going to collapse and both this person and my employer are gonna be pissed off at me. The reason the its going to fall on me is because I stuck my neck out in the first place and bought the parts, citing they were for me and then I passed on the savings to this person. Basically this halved the price on the parts to begin with, but now they have failed (on a heavily modified vehicle) and I am stuck trying to get warranty replacements.
Bottom line on all of this is that my job is rather important to me at the moment and I don't want to lose it for the sake of a few cheap deals for mates.
Sorry.

I'm sure everyone understands this and would have no problem paying full price to support a mate.
You're still a great resource of information and pricing on parts.
I don't expect anyone to put their job and source of income on the line so someone else can save a few $$$, I don't think anyone else here would expect it either.

Geez, that's screwed up. Sorry to hear about some bad happenings.
I didn't even KNOW you could get cheap parts! I've been sheltered! (That or I've only recently become a Subie person and still getting to know people

)
Anyway, good luck with your career, it gives you money so don't jeopordise it for the sake of saving someone else! Like you said, it's important!

Yeah, 4 years isn't a bad run I suppose
I should still be able to offer a trade price, but particularly in the next few weeks I want to keep it cool and not step out of line.

Tim,
Thankyou for what you have done in the past. I would like to make it clear and certain that i would much rather pay full price and be dealing with someone like you that I knew was interested and knowledgeable about the subject matter. My business will remain with you regardless of the bonus of "mates rates". And I will continue to reccommend you others I know who need subie bits knowing you will provide great service.
I understand your bosses position, he runs a business not a charity.
If you get anymore heat Im sure theres a whole bunch of people here that would be more than happy to send appropriate emails saying the same as what I have mentioned.
Anyway, thats my 2 cents. By the way...You got the prt numbers for nolethane bushes for an l series and ej22 clutch?

I understand your position Tim and i would like to thank your greatly for your help with the parts for my car. I figure u basically own a quarter of my car.
I would also like to add that i never expected u to get me a cheeper than normal price... i mainly got stuff off you because u knew what you were talking about and it's getting increasingly harder for me to find time to locate parts.
Thanks again
Dave

Yeah ditto etc.... thanks heaps for the parts you organised for me too!
I've had the exact same problem over the years in my area of employment too and also been cautioned over it.
I still point everyone in the right direction for a great deal but try not to stick my neck out. It really sucks when something you've done for a super good "cheap cheap, no receipt" deal comes back on warranty!

I think you are doing the right thing Tim.
I hadn't known that you were giving such great deals to forum members. If I needed something big I would have contacted you expecting good advice & an honest price.
I am sorry that your kindness has got you in trouble at work.
btw. If your boss doesn't know the details you put in your post it might be worth editing it now that most people have seen it.
