I love wreckers!

Went to a self serve wrecker the other day to look randomly at cars (I do this often when I'm bored).

Whilst looking through the Subaru goodies, I looked at the rear diff of one car and found it had a factory bashguard on it. So I thought I better grab that.

I went and looked at the front of the same car, and found it also had a factory sump bashplate on it. Unfortunately, being an L-series, I was unsure of it fitting my Brumby. I took it off and went to look at fitment on an MY wagon. Unfortunately, there was a bashplate on the MY wagon so I couldn't test fit the L series one

...So, logically I took the MY wagon one as that should fit the Brumby.

Anyway, took them up to the counter and the guy looked at the random pieces of metal very wierd. You could tell he wanted to ask what they were, but knew if he did that his credibility as a wrecker would be questioned. So he hesitates, then says "$10 will cover it mate" 8O. I promptly handed over my hard earned coins, after expecting little change from $50 note!

So I'm happy, and I have anti-bash devices ready to go on the car when I get a few moments! :D

Good stuff xaymaca! This is how I found my cargo cover

If you find another diff protector in your travels - swing it my way.. and I'll swing some cash your way ;)

I have another diff on the way - last thing I want to see is it crack like an egg!

Hehe - i just bought an LSD - so HANDS OFF :P

That'd be great - I should check my local "walk in" wrecker myself. Never thought to look in a wrecker for one.

gotta admit that i've been sticking my head under wrecked subis for a year now looking for a diff guard.........no luck yet though

i have found a davies craig 12" thermo fan and milford barrier mounts, a TJM replaceable bumper bullbar.........all that cost me about $120. I've also found 2 cars with brand new exhausts on but i haven't pilfered those yet, maybe in a couple of weeeks..............

the diff guard was a good find though

I have a diff protector that you may be able to twist my arm for if you are offering to swing some cash my way.
