G'day all,

I recently bought a second hand lift kit for an L wagon but i soon discovered it didn't come with a steering extension. So my standard steering arm is currently just holding on with about 2mm either end. Very dodgy So i need to find one fast as this is the car i drive everyday.

Any info would be great.

Only telling what I've heard but maybe try an Outback steering arm? Don't ask me what year or anything, maybe see if a workshop has heard of doing this before?

Give Scorpion a call, ~$110 for a splined extension to suit 2" kits and are 100% completely legal in all states.

just cut the one you have and get a bit welded in the middle... i know u have a spare... will cost you like 50 bucks tops

Im running a spline extension but i sure wish i had of got mine welded. I say weld it.

If i get a block welded in the middle, is that going to stuff up the angles on the universal joint? Cos the spline is the bit that needs extending not the middle bit right?

Actually... important question... do u have Power Steering?

nope. The car i got the lift of had power steering which is why it doesn't fit mine.

I have a welded extension, and i wish i had a splined one

Welding an extension in the middle of the joint means the top uni joint is on a huge angle. It works but i dont like the look of it.

Extending the spline gives you pretty much stock angles o nteh unis, and is legal...
