difference between L series wagon and Leone Rx turbo

Looking at getting an engineers certificate for my wagon which has the 1.8 turbo out of the RS turbo, need to find out what they would require?, what did the Leone RS turbo have that the L series wagon didn't.
I far as I'm aware the Leone RX had rear discs.
Would they have to engineer the lift also?
Has anyone been down this road?

Correct the RX did have the breaks it also had the turbo, different ratio gearing and LSD and much better interior, and no tailgate
Alot of this is going to depend on the state that you are currently residing in and who does the inspection on the day (in my opinion).
I think that you will find that most people do not get eng cert.

The problem I have is engine number is not the same as rego, which is fine if they don't check it for pink slip in Nsw

Well that's really the whole reason you'll get an engineer's report, so that you can get it registered and the numbers will match.
I don't think you'll have a problem - rear discs for sure, other than that the usual things they'd look for in a Blue Slip as well. Also make sure all the emissions gear is hooked up and working.

Had this done years ago (try 1999!!).
If you can prove that you've fitted all the RX turbo suspension & brakes when you fitted the engine, then it should be all sweet.
This'll be rear disks, not sure about the rear sway bar. Apart from that they're the same.
Not sure if you need to get a blue slip (you need one to change engine numbers anyway)
Mare sure your suspension is in good nick, you've got near factory offset wheels (I got picked up on this one & had to change back to stockers, at least for the inspection)

In Victoria, you do need an engineers cert if you put a "newer" engine in a "older" car, will require VicRoad's mechanic inspection plus engineer's cert on it to ensure its safe matching the chassis.

The RX also had thicker front drive shafts than the NA versions.
As previously stated, different suspension settings, rear LSD, rear discs and exhaust were other differences.
