Just wondering who people go through to insure their lifted L series. I'm wanting to go the usual 3" with 14s and 27x8.5s and want 3rd Party because it's a daily driver. Thanks, Marty.

I've got my L series Turbo sedan insured with Shannons for $4K , however standard 13" alloys, no lift, I pay about $37 per month.

depending on what state etc your in, not many insurance companies will go with a 3inch lift. i have heard that people get away with 2inch lifts though

That's what I'm worried about. I've already got the wheels/tyres for the car and I'd rather go the 3" lift but I've heard that any higher than 2" is illegal. I don't want my insurance to be void if they find out I've done this. May as well not bother insuring at all.

Then you open yourself up to more problems if you ever became involved in an unfortunate situation of a crash. Best to sort out the insurance and let them know what your doing/has been done. Best way to find out about all this is to go to the insurance company and get it straight from them...
