Weber help please

Been snuffing around the engine and various web pages and learned alot. HOWEVER, it still seems like there are alot of tubes that aren't going to be doing anything whence the weber goes in. Can anybody fill me in on what these tubes are, what they do, what I can take out and what effect it will have? Also, on the adapter plate I have there is a hose connection sticking out the front of it that seems to match up with a little port on the carby plate of the inlet manifold. What is it for, where does it go, can I block it off or use it for my water choke? So many questions, so little understanding... getting there though with your help, for which I thankj you all.

i have 92 brumby i have weber 32/36 mit manual choke i have a list of preferred jets for this carby in this car i have look under bonnet and understand your plight - way more hoses than my 84 LPG Brumby the weber is not yet fitted


basically i plan to fit carby up somehow so it fits, trottle cable fits and works, no water leaks no air leaks from all those little pollution hoses (ball bearings are common way of stopping these- inside and concealed) PCV hoses need to be fitted up and working to satisfy RTA inspections.

Those little hoses - id ya dizzy vac advance which is important - the rest seem to be to restrict the original carby from polluting too much and neednot for the weber , so disconnect one at a time, plug up take for a drive each time

Yeah right.. I kinda suspectyed this, but its cool to hear it from someone else. raises my confidence bar a bit. groovy. Hey, I was reading someone elses thread about webers and they said something about removong the entire egr system. I take it while feasible this would not pass inspection. Am I right?

would not pass if inspected diligently by RTA guys, but egr don't get in the way in a carby swap. the pcv stuff also needs to be hooked up and look right

positive crankcase ventilation google it maybe, but it is basically the fumes that are produced within crankcase/sump and other air spots within are vented out rocker cover hose and burnt by going through pcv valve and into intake under the carby
