on my conversion i used the 1.59 low from L into my ej awd box.
the input shaft from flywheel has 19 teeth, front cog on transfer shaft has 23.input ratio is 1.2105.
the second cog on trasfer shaft has 19 teeth and this drives 25 tooth cog on main shaft which is ratio of 1.3158.
multiply these two ratios for overall low ratio reduction of 1.59.
if the box is not split, will have to count difference of turns of output shaft from hi compared to low range.
say 4 output turns in hi from "x" input turns should equal around 2.515 output turns in low from "x" input turns.
4 divided by 2.515 = 1.59.

Any dual range no turbo L series gearboxes will be the go. Get a later model one with lower k's, or split the box before you buy it... i'm sure you're allowed to do that - most pick a part joints and the like don't state that the gearbox is an assembly only part like an alternator or carbie...

Check it out and good luck with it.

Cheers

on the turbo models both gears on the reduction shaft look the same size.
