Riceboy drawbacks

Funny story...

One of my mates drives a 1999 WRX. Unfortunately he's abit of a rice-boy. Got the clear indicators, clear tail lights, taken his spoiler off etc...

Today his fuel pump was randomly cutting out. Took it down to his mechanics place. They tested all the fuses, checked all the relays. They rekoned the fuel pump was dead and were going to change it out for him. Then a little later they realised what it was.

His fantastic checkerplate floormatts. Over time the passenger one had cut through the interior carpet, along with half his wiring! Now the ECU is possibly dead, he'll find out the verdict tomorrow.

Well I guess this rings true somewhat. Theres always a drawback to "Performance Mods"!

Sounds to me like he should have installed a performance wiring package with his checker plate floors
